"I was experiencing hyperemesis gravidarem (extreme morning sickness) and my obstetrician suggested acupuncture as a possible treatment. I have to be honest and say I was somewhat sceptical, plus I have a rather healthy dislike of needles; but feeling so desperately ill, and as though I was going out of my mind with the sickness, I was willing to try anything.

Even after the very first treatment I felt better. More important than even the gradual improvement in the nausea and number of times vomiting (sorry to be graphic!), was the feeling that I was back in control. "I initially went to see Zoe as I was recommended to her by a friend who knew she would be able to get to the bottom of why I was constantly getting heavy colds.

My main issue was that I had a really low immune system and would always be picking up colds and flu. After initial consultations with Zoe she was able to draw out other issues that were contributing to my low immune system namely that I suffered from bad constipation (would only go to the toilet about once a week). This was really starting to make me feel slow with not much energy.
